Caledon, ON—Town of Caledon offices, facilities and non-emergency services will be closed Tuesday, July 1, 2014 for Canada Day and will reopen Wednesday, July 2, 2014.

The Town and the Region would like to remind residents that there is no waste collection on Tuesday, July 1. Garbage, recycling and yard waste collection will be collected one day later than usual. The following is a revised waste collection schedule:

Selling and Discharging Fireworks
Caledon Fire and Emergency Services would like to remind residents and retailers about their responsibilities for selling, purchasing and setting off fireworks.
Retailers can only sell fireworks 10 days prior to Canada Day with a permit obtainable from the Fire and Emergency Services department at a cost of $100. Fire prevention staff will be conducting spot inspections to verify compliance.
The Town strictly prohibits fireworks on public property, parklands and parks, including roadways and sidewalks. Fireworks can only be set off on Canada Day and are restricted to private property. Disregarding the by-law will result in a fine.
