MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION INVESTIGATION ON AIRPORT ROAD IN CALEDON

(CALEDON, ON) – On April 22, 2014 shortly after 9 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a motor vehicle collision on Airport Road south of King Street.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a southbound Ford Mustang was stopped to make a left turn into a private driveway when it was rear ended by the driver of a Chevrolet van. The impact spun the Mustang around into the northbound lane when it was rear ended by the driver of a Nissan Pathfinder.

One person was sent to hospital with serious injuries and four others with minor injuries.

Airport Road remained closed until 4 am while the motor vehicle collision was investigated by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators.

The investigation is still on-going.
