Mississauga – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses to a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred in Mississauga.
On Thursday, April 17, 2014, at approximately 8:50 p.m., a Freightliner tractor was northbound on Dixie Road from Shawson Drive. The tractor was being operated by a 58 year old male from Brampton. In the area of Derry Road, the tractor entered the right turn lane. At the same time, a 32 year old male from Mississauga, was operating a motor assisted bicycle, when he came into contact with the tractor. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or to the actions of either of the involved persons, prior to the collision.
