Rain has already begun near Windsor. Rain will begin to spread northeastward tonight to reach the Golden Horseshoe to Georgian Bay area early Friday morning. A period of freezing rain at the onset is forecast for places north of Highway 401.
General rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are expected. However, isolated thunderstorms are likely to affect some locales giving the threat for locally higher amounts.
Poor driving conditions can be expected during the morning commute Friday from Southern Lake Huron to Northern Toronto and northward towards Georgian Bay due to ice on untreated roads.
