(CALEDON, ON) – On February 22, 2014 shortly before midnight, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from Peel Regional Paramedic Services (EMS) in relation to an unconscious male in the vicinity of Old School Road and Kennedy Road.

The male was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. He has subsequently been identified however police are not releasing this information at this time. A post mortem examination was completed on Sunday February 23, 2014 at the Office of The Chief Coroner in Toronto and the cause of death is not being released pending further investigation.

An investigation has been commenced by members of the Caledon OPP Detachment Major Crime Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Paul McCrickard of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
