(CALEDON, ON) – On January 9, 2014 shortly after 6 pm, the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, Town of Caledon Fire Services and Emergency Services responded to a residential fire on Humber Station Road. During the police investigation, officers located a quantity of drugs, believed to be marijuana at the fire scene.
On January 10, 2014 members from the Street Crime Unit of the Caledon Detachment executed a search warrant as a result of findings at the time of the fire.
Officers located approximately 120 plants, believed to be marijuana at that residence as well as a stolen gas tanker.
The resident, Jimmy GORDILLO, 36 has been arrested and charged with Mischief – Endangering Life, Arson – Disregard for Human Life, Produce a Schedule II Substance and Possession of Stolen Property.
The matter is still under investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshall as well as the Street Crime Unit.
The accused remains in custody.
