FEMALE INJURED FROM FALLEN TREE IN CALEDON

(CALEDON, ON) – On December 22nd, 2013 at approximately 1 pm, a Finnerty Side Road home-owner was travelling to a neighbour’s residence to conduct a check of the residence. Upon his return a half hour later, the male observed a fallen tree across the roadway. The male observed an unconscious female beside the tree and immediately contacted emergency services. The female had suffered a serious head injury and was transported to Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville. Due to the serious nature of her injuries, the female was transported to a Toronto trauma centre. The female remains in serious condition in hospital.

Police are warning residents that as warm weather is expected in the following days, strong wind gusts and melting ice could result in more power outages and create dangerous conditions for motorists and pedestrians.
