Peel – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses to a motor vehicle incident which left a 19 year-old Brampton teen in critical condition.
On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the driver was operating a silver 1998 Honda Civic in the area of Father Tobin Road and Bramalea Road, in Brampton. The victim was riding on the trunk of the vehicle while it was in motion, which resulted in the victim falling to the ground.
The victim was taken to a local Brampton hospital and then transferred to a Toronto trauma centre in critical condition.
The 16 year-old driver has been charged with Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm, and Dangerous Driving Cause Bodily Harm.
Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the driving incident, or the actions of the vehicle prior, to assist in the investigation.
