A Health Care Update from the Central West LHIN…….

Keeping seniors independent and healthy in their own homes

September 2013 – Seniors in Caledon, Rexdale and Dufferin County will have more access to Assisted Living services thanks to new funding from the Central West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN). Caledon Community Services received $332,629, while CANES Community Care and Dufferin County Community Support Services received $250,000 in annual funding to expand Assisted Living Services for seniors.

“Continuing to invest in seniors who live in our communities is a big priority for the Central West LHIN,” says Maria Britto, Board Chair for the Central West LHIN. “Assisted Living is a cost effective way to enable seniors to live independently, and helps keep them out of the hospital.
