(CALEDON, ON) – On Saturday, August 31, 2013 shortly before 2 am, members from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general patrol in the area of Allan Drive in the Village of Bolton. The officers entered a parking lot at which time they observed a male in the driver’s seat of a white Ford van. The vehicle’s lights were activated and the vehicle was running. The officers observed that the driver appeared disoriented while under the control of the motor vehicle. The officers approached the vehicle to check on the drivers’ sobriety and they requested the driver roll down the window. The driver was unable to complete the requested task and the driver eventually opened the vehicle door. The officers immediately detected a strong odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath.
In conclusion, Randall CORCORAN, 49, of Dunsford was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused will make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on September 19, 2013.
