Environment Canada issues tornado warning for parts of cottage country

Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for Fenelon Falls, Balsam Lake Park, Northern Kawartha Lakes, Orillia, Lagoon City, Washago, Haliburton, Minden and Southern Haliburton County.

The agency says a waterspout was reported over Lake Couchiching around 10 a.m. and this could come onshore as a tornado.

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
