(CALEDON, ON) – Members of the Caledon ROAD WATCH Committee and members from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be conducting a community canvass in the Southfields community area on Saturday, September 7th, 2013.
Caledon officers and ROAD WATCH committee members will be going door-to-door between 12:30 pm and 2 pm speaking with Southfields community members to promote the ROAD WATCH program and to assist identifying traffic safety concerns.
ROAD WATCH is a community-based road safety program in the Town of Caledon that works with the police to target dangerous and aggressive driving through awareness, education and enforcement.
ROAD WATCH provides community members the opportunity to report dangerous and aggressive driving through an on-line reporting system that is directly provided to the police for follow-up actions.
The Caledon ROAD WATCH Committee is looking for community members to become involved with the program in the future.
The Caledon OPP Detachment is committed to reducing the number of vehicle collisions, injuries and deaths on our highways and is pleased to partner with the ROAD WATCH Committee for this purpose.
