(CALEDON, ON) – On Friday, August 16, 2013 members from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Crime Unit conducted a vehicle stop with suspicion that the occupants were in possession of drugs.
As a result of the vehicle stop, officers located a quantity of drugs believed to be Oxycodone, Oxycontin, Fentanyl packs and GHB. The value of the seized drugs is in excess of $6,800.00.
Tabrez HAMIDANI, 45, of Brampton and Nadia FARIQ, 33, of Mississauga were arrested and charged with Possession of a Substance Schedule 1 for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Substance Schedule III for the Purpose of Trafficking.
The male was held in custody and appeared in court on August 17th. The female is scheduled to make her first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on September 30, 2013.
