(CALEDON, ON) – On Friday, July 19, 2013 shortly before 3 pm, a resident on Old Baseline Road contacted the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to report a break and enter in progress. The suspect was unaware that the resident was home at the time of the offence and immediately fled the area upon discovering that the resident was present. An investigation into the break and enter by members of the Caledon OPP’s Street Crime Unit uncovered the suspect’s identity.
Once the investigation was completed, Julian Albert SOUSA, 24, of Brampton was arrested and charged with Break and Enter a Dwelling with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence.
The accused will make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on September 12, 2013.
